Energy comes from a well-balanced lifestyle with a focus on health and wellness.
When you have good levels of energy, you immediately have clarity, vitality, drive, productivity. Having vital energy every day means that the largest organ of the body, the skin, is functioning optimally. Energy is the catalyst to reawaken your skin so that it radiates good health.
It is so important to use your energy well, to know how to keep it balanced and when to conserve it. For example, using the voice can be energizing. We use our voices every day for communicating. The voice is connected to the breath – it’s a powerful instrument for cleansing the body and increasing or decreasing life force depending on how you use it: less is definitely more in some cases. My love of singing has given me a good grounding in the power of the voice and how to use my breath correctly.
Sometimes, to feel energized all you need to do is to remember how to breathe.
Three ways to feel more energized through breath:
Swimming – being in water and feeling weightless is hugely energizing. You also control your breathing to ensure your muscles are receiving oxygen and working at their peak which brings rhythm.
Singing – whether you enjoy singing along to the radio or you feel inspired to join a choir, singing is a great release and re-energiser as you use your lungs and breath.
Yoga – the focus on Ujjayi breathing (sometimes called “the ocean breath” due to its soothing sound) means body and breath are balanced as you carry out your practice.
