Your new book, Cook, Nourish, Glow follows on from Eat, Nourish, Glow. What does having an incredible ‘glow’ mean to you?
'The ‘glow’ you get from prioritising your health and making good food choices is what it’s all about for me. When you’re nurturing yourself on the inside, it shines out of you on the outside.'
What are your top three tips for restoring our inner glow during winter?
1 .Get your vitamin D levels tested and supplement accordingly.
2. Stay well hydrated.
3. Increase your intake of the following nutrients: vitamin C found in fruits and vegetables, zinc found in eggs, pumpkins, squash and dark chocolate, and finally, healthy fats found in oily fish, nuts, seeds, avocados and coconut oil.
We love a good food gadget. What’s the one thing we should add to our kitchen worktop in 2016 in order to eat more healthily?
'I love my slow cooker.'
We believe that getting a great glow is about uplifting the mind as well as caring for the body. What do you rely on to generate mental positivity?
'A long warm bath with Epsom Salts, regular exercise and daily meditation.'
How do you manage stress and maintain a good work/life balance?
'2015 was a busy year for me so I had regular acupuncture sessions, which really helped boost my energy levels and gave me peace of mind. I also now have craniosacral therapy, which helps me to manage stress. I exercise with a trainer three times a week and I walk a lot on other days as well as work in my vegetable garden. I’ve also got a new puppy and she’s been keeping me on my toes.'
