The Beauty of Omegas

So many new ingredients come on to the market with huge stories behind them, that claim to be the answer to all you skincare concerns, and so often these are just passing trends.

For me, when the conversation turns to Omegas I get really excited as I've been working with some of our latest products that happen to be packed full of of Omegas. They have the ability to help all skin types and many skin concerns, particularly unbalanced stressed skins that are so often hard to treat. I've had some amazing results with them and they will never go out of fashion.

Omegas can be absorbed through diet and aid a number of the body’s vital processes. They can be obtained from eating foods that are rich in fats, like salmon, flaxseed and walnuts.


Omega-3 fatty acids are powerful anti-inflammatories that can support skin which suffers from Rosacea and acne. In both adult and teenage acne cases, I’ve seen the skin become balanced, calm and manageable.

Research also suggests that these fatty acids protect skin cells against sun-induced inflammation. This is because Omega-3 supports the skin’s resilience, helping strengthen the cell membrane to protect other parts of the cell against harmful free radicals.

One of the products I have been working a lot with is the Nourishing Omega-Rich Cleansing Oil, I love how you can use this product morning and evening and no cloth is needed, it balances, hydrates and is super efficient at removing all make-up too. So easy to use.

Blended with over 90% natural oils, this cleansing oil has been formulated to ensure it maintains the skin’s delicate acid mantle at its optimum pH 4.5 - 5.5. Maintaining this pH level ensures that the beneficial microflora on the skin are kept in balance, helping keep the skin healthy. And this is the key word when working with Omegas - it is all about the health of your skin.

 

With Winter Rose oil, rich in Omega-9, skin-conditioning Chia seed, and vitamin-rich Pomegranate, this product ensures that skin is left looking healthy and radiant.

The next product that I can't begin to imagine not working with, is Superfood Facial Oil. This natural blend of highly concentrated superfoods deeply nourishes and hydrates. Anti-oxidant and Omega-rich Broccoli, Flax Seed and Daikon Radish oils feed the skin, helping to plump and smooth. Why would you not want to introduce Omegas into your skincare routine? What else has the ability to fight wrinkles, pollution, and stress?
