Women for Women International works with socially-excluded female survivors of war in some of the world's most dangerous places: Afghanistan, South Sudan, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Kosovo and Iraq. Where extremism and conflict take root, the livelihoods, freedom and security of individuals suffer - and it is women and children who bear the brunt. Yet when given the tools, resources and knowledge to access livelihoods and protect their rights, women can literally transform their families, communities – and ultimately their nations. That’s why ELEMIS is funding a class of women in Afghanistan through Women for Women International’s year-long programme.

During this 12-month programme, each member of the class will receive a monthly allowance that enables her to pay for necessities like food, medicine, clean water, clothing and shelter for her family, and to begin saving money. She will learn more about her real value and her human rights. She’ll graduate with new skills so she can earn an income and provide for her family.

With Women for Women International, ELEMIS is helping to provide a safe place for women who have been through similar experiences. Together, they will participate in a year-long training programme and develop networks of support and friendship so they’ll be better able to recover from the horrors of war and rebuild their lives.

The #sheInspiresMe Campaign

With over 20 brutal armed conflicts across the globe right at present and unprecedented levels of violence against women, there’s never been a greater need for Women for Women International’s work. So Women for Women International has launched the #SheInspiresMe campaign because there is an urgent need for more funding to give women who have survived the trauma of war the practical skills and knowledge they need to transform their lives, and inspire brighter futures for themselves and their families.

ELEMIS is supporting the #SheInspiresMe campaign with the creation of a Pro-Collagen Marine Cream Ultra-Rich. This richer version of the award-winning Pro-Collagen Marine Cream delivers more intensive hydration to dry skin and the lid is engraved with ‘She Inspires Me’ as a visible show of our support.
