Oriele Frank, ELEMIS Co-Founder explains why she holds Breast Cancer Care dear to her heart.
ELEMIS believes that wellness lies at the centre of good skincare. That is why we are proud to support the extraordinary work done by Breast Cancer Care with the Pink Edition Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm.
ELEMIS is proud to donate £10,000 to Breast Cancer Care to further their care and support of those facing breast cancer.
Breast cancer is an illness that affects one in eight people, snatching them out of their ordinary lives and onto an often frightening and brutal journey, as Oriele Frank, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of ELEMIS discovered.
Having collaborated with Breast Cancer Care for three years, Oriele followed their step-by-step self-check recommendation and found a lump. She went on to be diagnosed with the earliest signs of pre-breast cancer. “My world was shattered in three hours. Your mind goes through a million scenarios and from that day forward you view everything very differently.” Luckily, it did not develop, but Oriele’s experience served as a huge wake-up call.
“We want every woman to make her Pink ELEMIS product a reminder message to do that check, because it might save their life.”
Fortunately 85% of those affected are expected to survive beyond five years and Breast Cancer Care plays a crucial role in offering education, advice and support for people, predominantly women, who are diagnosed with the disease.
Breast Cancer Care is the only UK-wide charity providing specialist support and tailored information for anyone affected by breast cancer. Their clinical expertise and emotional support network help many thousands of people find a way to live with, through and beyond breast cancer.
ELEMIS, derived from the Arabic word meaning ‘above and beneath’ is a brand designed to evolve with women through their day-to-day lives. Through the good times and the bad.
